ABOUT US - Our People


Tammy BorgiasTammy Borgias, Associate Director
Tammy Borgias has worked in the health education field since 1980 after receiving her degree from Kansas State University. She was the Corporate Wellness/Athletic Director for the Downtown Denver Central YMCA for 10 years. She was instrumental in starting corporate wellness programs for metro Denver corporations. Tammy also worked at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science teaching dissection and health classes. A strong interest in sharing the abstinence message with teenagers led her to work with the WAIT training program. Tammy lives in Centennial, Colorado with her three teen daughters.



Shelly DonahueShelly Donahue, National Teacher Trainer
Shelly Donahue is a 19-year veteran health and PE teacher as well as a coach and mentor. She graduated from Western Illinois University and recently was awarded the distinguished graduate award. She is currently a national speaker and trainer for WAIT Training. She also is employed by the Weld County Dept of Health and is a consultant for several teen initiatives. Shelly has been instrumental in designing a specific Medical Cessation Model for Working with Sexually Active Youth empowering them to return to a healthy abstinent lifestyle and imparting skills to these high risk teens to make healthier life choices Shelly has trained most of the Family Planning Personnel at Weld County Health Department and has received TANF dollars to continue her valuable prevention work. Shelly has two teenage children and lives in Eaton, CO.


Joneen MackenzieJoneen Mackenzie, RN, BSN Executive Director
Joneen Mackenzie is a registered nurse. She graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in nursing. She is a former 1st Lt. In the USAF specializing in intensive care and cardiac care unit nursing. Joneen is the primary author of the national and internationally used WAIT Training Curriculum. She currently is the executive director of The WAIT Training nonprofit agency in Colorado. Joneen is also a popular national speaker and trainer. Joneen is married, has four grown children and lives in Englewood, CO.




Andrea G. MosbyAndrea G. Mosby-Jones, CBEA Program Coordinator and Trainer
Andrea is a graduate of the University of Denver with a degree in Business Administration. She has her Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Andrea is a nationally known motivational speaker. She has been giving presentations and seminars to various professional and community organizations for over 16 years. Andrea currently teaches abstinence training throughout the country as well as talks with youth and college students on the importance of decision making. Her goal is to motivate, inspire and encourage individuals to look deeper than the surface, to look at their hearts in order to achieve and understand their full potential. Andrea has a grown son and lives with her husband in Denver, Colorado.
